DINO COCCIA has been a drummer as long as he can remember, turning professional at the ripe old age of 17 & touring England with The Healers with an all Jamaican Soul Band. As his initiation into the music scene they went to Beirut for a 2 month stint, playing a residency at the then famous ‘ Cave Du Roys ‘. He honed his drumming skills playing with in various Pop – Rock & Reggae bands and edging his way into studio session work. Going on to play with Grace Jones, Percy Sledge, Ben E. King, Zoot Money, Byther Smith and many more. On the Jazz scene he has played & recorded with Alan Barnes, Art Theman, Dave Newton, Andy Sheppard ,Tim Wells, Holly Roberts, Geoff Williams ,Jim Mullen, Pete Whittaker, again the list is endless On the Blues scene he has worked with Fred James, Homesick James , J.D. Nicholson, Harmonica Fats ,Sonny Black, Blind Joe Hill and Lowell Fulson ,Mojo Buford , Otis Grand, Jo Ann Kelly, The Barcodes, James Hunter and once again a list to long to name everyone here.
DINO COCCIA was the King Snakes drummer in 1991 & now back in the drum seat coming full circle. He is a talented musician who brings to the band a strong foundation that allows for the instrumental and vocal expression that the band attains.
